Business Visa
Those who wish to enter Uruguay to carry out business activities or for the purpose of investment or commercial exchange with Uruguayan companies or with headquarters in Uruguay or public organizations will have to apply for a business visa.
Length of stay: If the visa is issued, the length of stay in Uruguay is of 90 days, which can be extended to another 90 days. It will be a multiple entry business visa for the duration of the visa.
Duration of the visa: 180 days beginning the day the visa is issued (stamped).
The interested person will have to present the visa request with at least 20 business days prior to the trip. The requirements are the following:
Application Form complete and signed.
Valid passport (at least for the next 6 months of arriving Uruguay), which is returned to the passport holder at that time. The passport needs to be in a good state. The Consulate does not hold the passport.
One passport-sized photograph.
Reserved airline ticket or bought airline ticket (roundtrip).
Hotel reservation or other proof of stay.
Letter from the company, headquarters or public organization in Uruguay inviting the visa applicant. It must be printed on official letterhead and signed by the corresponding authority of the company, headquarters or public organization. The letter must contain the personal details of the person in charge of the company that invites the visa applicant.
Letter from the company for which the visa applicant currently works for, indicating the company’s name and header. It must also include the position of the visa applicant.

On the day we issue the visa, the interested person will have to be present with their passport and money order of U$S 54.
