Death
The passing of a Uruguayan citizen abroad can be registered in the Uruguayan Civil Register.
Requirements:
Two registrants with their corresponding identification documents need to be present on the day of the appointment (Uruguayans or of other nationality. If they are foreigners, we accept valid documents in the country of origin, for example driver’s license).
They will have to present the Death Certificate apostilled in the place of origin.
The information that the registrants will have to give: full name, address, date of birth and/or age, sex, marital status, nationality and profession.
The cost of this procedure is of $18, the payment for which is done with a money order or cashier check made out to the Consulate of Uruguay.
