Proof of Life
Retirees or pensioners residing outside Uruguay must provide proof of life periodically to the appropriate Consulate.
In Person
You will have to make an appointment with the Consulate, via email cgwashington@mrree.gub.uy
The day of the appointment, you will have to present: Uruguayan passport or cédula de identidad (Uruguayan ID card)
This procedure has no cost.
Distance
Those who live too far away from the Consulate or for health reasons cannot appear before the Consulate will have to:
Send to the Consulate the following application signed before a public notary with a copy of their Uruguayan document (passport or cédula de identidad – Uruguayan ID card).
In the case of the retiree or pensioner being sick, request a proof issued by the doctor in-charge.
For the cases of certificates of existence for the Military, Police, Banking and Professional boxes, send together with your prepayment form with your data and your complete address to send your proof to your home.
