Emergency Passport.
The emergency passport is issued when the Uruguayan national needs a valid travel document urgently to travel to another country. You can only request this procedure if you have a valid Uruguayan passport that is lost or damaged. This passport is valid for a maximum of one year or until the date of your valid passport if it is prior to the year, is only used in emergency situations. In case of traveling to Uruguay, this document is retained upon entering the country. Therefore, to leave Uruguay again, you must apply for a new passport.

Cost: $36, we only accept Money orders or cashier checks made out to the Consulate of Uruguay.
