Uruguayan Civil Register Certificate Request (Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate or Death Certificate)
You will only be allowed to request any of these documents if you reside within the Consulate jurisdiction: Florida, Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, South Carolina, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Puerto Rico, Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Dominica and the Western Virgin Islands.
Process to obtain a Uruguayan Civil Register Certificate:
Certificate without Apostille (certificate of authentication)
You must send through mail or email to cdmiami@mrree.gub.uy the following documentation:
Completed request form:
Uruguayan ID copy of requester
Civil register certificate copy (in case you have one)
Prepaid envelope (USPS PRIORITY preferably) with stamps and your full address. In case you send the documentation through email, you must send a USPS digital prepaid label. You can obtain it by visiting the USPS website.
The process has no cost and takes 5-10 working days.
Certificate with Apostille (certificate of authentication)
You must send to cdmiami@mrree.gub.uy the following documentation:
Completed request form:
Copy of Requester ID
Civil Register certificate copy (in case you have one)
The approximate cost of the process is USD 18. The payment will be coordinated through email once the Consulate has obtained the detailed documentation.
The process takes 4-8 weeks.
