Uruguayan ID Card (Cédula de Identidad): Minor’s Renewal
Uruguayan ID Card (cédula de identidad) can only be renewed for natural and national Uruguayan citizens, in the cases of it being expired or lost.

We will finger print you, as well as take your picture and signature here at the Consulate.
The minor will have to be present on the day of the appointment.
Both parents will also have to be present on the day of the appointment with a valid ID. If for whatever reason, one of the parents cannot be present on the appointed day they will have to obtain a minor’s permit.
Cost: $14, we only accept Money orders or cashier checks made out to the Consulate of Uruguay.
If you wish that your Uruguayan ID card should be mailed to your residence, you will have to bring, on the day of your appointment, an envelope from the United States Postal Service with a tracking number and stamps.
The Uruguayan ID card will be received by this Consular Office in an approximate period of four to six weeks beginning on the day that the passport was processed.
