Apostille

In 2012, Uruguay joined the Hague Convention on the Apostille. Since then, documents issued by the United States authorities have to be apostilled to have validity in Uruguay, due to which legalization of documents at the Consulate is no longer necessary. The Apostille must be obtained in the State in which the document was issued; the corresponding offices for this Consulate’s jurisdiction are the following:

  • Connecticut

  • Ilinois

  • Iowa

  • Maine

  • Massachussets

  • Michigan

  • Minnesota

  • Missouri

  • New Hampshire

  • New Jersey

  • New York

  • Rhode Island

  • Vermont

  • Wisconsin

Apostilla

  • Connecticut

  • Ilinois

  • Iowa

  • Maine

  • Massachussets

  • Michigan

  • Minnesota

  • Missouri

  • New Hampshire

  • New Jersey

  • New York

  • Rhode Island

  • Vermont

  • Wisconsin
